Skin Lesions
Pigmented Lesions/Freckles/Sun Spots
These are caused by overproduction of brown pigmentation within the skin called melanin. Pigmented lesions are usually due to family history or excess exposure to the sun or hormonal changes.
They occur particularly on the face, hands and neck. These marks can be unsightly and age a person unnecessarily. Using the Nd:YAG Laser, Solihull Medical Cosmetic Clinic can now successfully treat and remove these pigmented marks after only a few treatments.

The procedure is quick and painless and involves firing a light beam which matches the absorption of the pigment in the sun spot, causing it to gradually peel off. It is to be noted that there are certain pigmented lesions which should not be treated by laser and if suspicious
looking should be referred to a dermatologist. Dr. Sagoo has dermatology experience and liaises closely with a consultant dermatologist.
During the initial consultation Dr. Sagoo will be able to assess and refer if required.
